Real Madrid are La Liga champions for the first time in five seasons.
Zinedine Zidane's men went into their final day clash with Malaga knowing a point would be enough for their 33rd title.
They did so in style, winning 2-0, while Barcelona fought back to beat Eibar.
It took Real just over 90 seconds to open the scoring through talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese raced onto an Isco through ball and rounded Carlos Kameni before slotting into the net. Karim Benzema secured the win - and the title - soon after half-time as he tapped home after Kameni had denied Sergio Ramos.
"38 match days and at the end of it all, it is the most difficult and beautiful, the Spanish league is the best in my opinion and to win it with this game is incredible - I am very happy," Zidane said.
"As always in a season, we have worked and fought until the end, and with the squad that we have we just had to think of working. It has been a difficult season that we worked hard for, with tough moments, but after 38 games we are top and that's it.
"It was very important [to win the league], it was a lot of years without winning it and we knew that the league is everything and when you win it, it is very important. And for Real Madrid, because it is the best club in the world, we have to return with this league title."
